Girls and boys, winter is nearly upon us (again) and it’s time to find out what we rate as hot or not this season.
Faux Fur
Love fake fur! It’s everywhere now and looks better than ever. One of my favs has to be the faux fur coats, especially the cropped jackets. They look very chic and are bound to keep you nice and toasty. They look great on guys (especially they way Daniel Craig wears his) and girls and are bang on trend for this season.
Sheepskin and leather are two materials doing the rounds, personally, I’m not so keen on the leather for winter. I think it looks much better in spring, because it will still keep you looking good whilst being warm.
Low-key shades (with the odd colour injection)
Even though this might sound a bit boring, it’s great because colour co-ordination becomes really easy! Camel, champagne, charcoal, olives, and any other neutral tones you can think of. This should be dead easy, considering this was all the rage in autumn, so you should be able to save yourself some pennies by keeping with your current wardrobe.
Although to cheer up your outfits, add a nice bright coloured accessory/pair of shoes/ coat, whatever you like, to brighten up these dull winter months. New look are doing some awesome coloured trench coats, in bright green, hot pink, purple – these would do the trick to perk up an otherwise low key outfit.
Boots, boots, boots
The ultimate boots to get this winter are the masculine military style work boot. They are effortlessly cool, and work with so many different outfits. My favourites are the soft and hard toe ones in River Island. Although, in all honesty, whatever boots you want to rock will be fine... anything goes in this department.
The classic UGG will also be a joy to wear this winter; like having your feet wrapped in heaven. There are so many more boots to choose from now, you are bound to find something that you’ll fall in love with.
Hats and scarves
Oldies but goldies... these are winter essentials to keep you snug. Beckham is the king of accessories and has got the casual ‘just got out of bed look’ down to a tee. So fellas, if you want to get yourself some cool winter beanie hats and casual scarves, I’d strongly suggest you check out Cult, the sister brand of Superdry. They have some great joggers as well, for when you just want to slouch around in pure comfort.
So wrap up warm and look wonderful this winter.
