Beach Fossils Interview

By Imogen Mayow - University of Manchester

Do you like this story?

25th October 2010:

New York, Brooklyn based band Beach Fossils take to the quirky and intimate stage at Manchester's Deaf Institute for their 3rd ever UK tour date. With a huge Myspace following and backing from BBC 6Music the Beach Fossils are ready to take the UK music scene by the horns and wrestle gently with it in a way only "chill-pop" knows how. Laid back, chilled out and California twang are all phrases that spring to mind when listening to this band's music and John Pena's penchant for performing barefoot with turn up jeans certainly supports this image but nothing comes close enough to hit the nail on the head in summing up the excellence of this band. The crowd was small but keen and the Beach Fossils definitely gave them what they came for and even stuck around for a drink after the show! Check out the interview below!!
